Gros coup de cœur pour la série précédente de cette auteure, et je vous assure que je me suis littéralement jeté sur ce livre qui est juste excellent.

Commençons par ce que j'aime dans les livres de Laini Taylor : l'univers. Je suis fan de son univers et de son imagination, je peux vous assurer que vous ne lirez jamais deux livres comme le sien. Ici, on est dans de la fantasy pure et dure à 200 %, il y a les éléments types, magie, croyance ... Mais l'originalité tient dans sa manière de construire son monde, de raconter en détail son histoire. Je ne veux pas trop en dire, mais Laini Taylor nous partage un monde rempli de richesses et secrets et chaque petit mot nous embarque un peu plus dans sa magie.

Autre point fort sa plume et ses personnages, elle écrit à la troisième personne cependant, elle se concentre sur plusieurs personnages, deux sont ici principaux Strange et un autre que je garde secret. J'ai juste adoré les personnages, Strange est un garçon rêveur qui a jusque-là plutôt subi sa vie, un jour, il va saisir une opportunité et en conséquence, l'intrigue du livre va commencer. La encore, elle ne lésine pas sur les détails, le moindre petit personnage a son histoire et sa touche personnelle, et je pense que cela est lié à sa plume qui est assez singulière. 

Je dois l'avouer, je ne pense pas que ce livre plaira à tout le monde, le livre est un peu lent à démarrer, compter une centaine de pages, la plume est unique certes, mais pas toujours simple d'accès et manque parfois de fluidité. Cependant, c'est exactement ce que je recherche dans certaines de mes lectures, un univers riche dans sa construction et ses détails et des personnages attachants et humains avec une plume assez unique. Donc si vous cherchez quelque chose d'un peu nouveau, tentez ce livre.
